Hi everyone!!
Welcome to lesson #7
Today we're going to revise a lot!

2. Now, do exercise B. Complete the sentences with the words in the box.

3. Let's practice grammar: AND, BUT, OR.

Remember:

➡️We use AND in affirmative sentences, to talk about similar ideas. For example: I really like fruits, like oranges, apples and bananas.

➡️We use BUT to talk about two opposite ideas. For example: I like asado but I can't stand chicken.   I like ice cream but I prefer fruits.

➡️We use OR to talk about options/alternatives. We generally use it in negative or interrogative sentences. For example: I don't like vegetables like oranges, strawberries or apples.  Would you like tea or coffee?

Now, complete exercise C.

4. Listening! Exercise D

Great! Now, let's revise everythinggg :)

5. Page 54. Do exercise A.

6. Exercise B. Circle the correct words.
7.  SOME, ANY, A(N)

Remember:
➡️We use A/AN with singular countable nouns. They mean the SAME! But we use A when the following word starts with CONSONTANT, and we use AN when the following word starts with VOWEL.
For example: Mum, I invited a friend...   I've got an idea!

➡️We use SOME and ANY with plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns.
➡️We use SOME in affirmative sentences.
For example: There are some boxes in my bedroom. I've got some things to tell you...
➡️But, we also use it in some interrogative sentences when we OFFER or REQUEST for something.
For example: Would you like some coffee? (offer). NOT: Would you like any coffee? - Can I drink some coffee, please? (Request) NOT: Can I drink any coffee, please?

➡️We use ANY in negative sentences.
For example: I haven't got any doubt. There isn't any milk in my fridge.
➡️We also use it in general interrogative sentences. For example: Is there any tomatoes in the fridge? Have you any brothers or sisters?
➡️Finally, we use it in affirmative sentences but with another meaning (meaning "no matter which"). For example: You can take any book you like (you can take one book, no matter which one.)

Now, do exercise C: Complete the dialogue.

Exercise D: HOW MUCH and HOW MANY.

Remember:
➡️We use how much and how many in interrogative sentences to talk about quantities.
➡️ We use how much to talk about uncountable nouns. For example: How much milk do you drink a day? How much information do you need?
➡️ We use how many to talk about countable nouns. For example: How many t-shirts have you got? How many eggs do we need to make an omelette?

8. Communication: Complete exercise E and F

9. Comprehension. Exercise G: Read and answer.

Great! We finish unit 5 with this revision.
