Les dejo a continuacion una guia de lo que debo averiguar para el anexo cultural de geografía I.

GEOGRAFIA I

Uk presentation

👉 Elegir uno de los 4 países. Buscar: 

➤Division politica: 👇
    ➤limites(limits: SOUTH/NORTH/EAST/)
    ➤capital 
    ➤población (numero aproximado) 
➤moneda (currency) 
➤idioma (language)
➤clima (weather) 
➤ciudades o lugares importantes (elijo dos o tres de los mas relevantes)
➤relieve (en este punto elegir alguna característica geográfica, algún río, montaña,etc importante de la región) 
➤comidas típicas/ gastronomía (dos o tres platos típicos )
➤festividades importantes (solo dos o tres y mencionar brevemente)

👉👀 IMPORTANTE!! recuerden que deben producir oraciones sencillas para cada punto con el fin de entender y hacer mas fácil la tarea de presentarlo oralmente. Si usan sus palabras/vocabulario siempre resulta mas cómodo. Cualquier duda me escriben!

You have some IDIOMS there! What are idioms? 

Cuando lees la palabra “idioms” por primera vez, lo primero que piensas es que significa “idiomas”. Pero estamos ante uno de esos típicos “falsos amigos” o “false friends”, palabras que parecen una cosa y significan otra muy distinta. En este caso, los llamados “idioms” en inglés, equivalen a los refranes o modismos que usamos frecuentemente en español.
Los idioms, junto  a los phrasal verbs, son considerados difíciles de aprender, pero es cierto que al final es la práctica constante del idioma la que va fijando todas estos modismos ingleses en la memoria.
👉 In the exercise 1 you have several idioms, what do they mean? Do they mean surprised/embarrased or annoyed? Look for them and write the correct word. You can use your dictionary 📕

Read the text and write T or F in exercise C. Use your dictionary if you need it 📘.

👉 On the next page do exercise D. It is for vocabulary, so you can use your dictionary. 
Read the text again and find the words. 

👉 VOCABULARY 
In exercise 2 there is more vocabulary. Pay atenttion 👀 to these words and the difference in meaning. USE YOUR DICTIONARY📘

Generally, an injury is something that a person or an animal suffers, but damage is something that an inanimate object suffers. Example: "I fell and injured my ankle", while "the book fell off the table and damaged the box."
➤ "notice" means to become aware of someone or something by using your eyes. “Watch” means to look at someone or something for an amount of time and pay attention to what is happening. “look” is different from “watch.” When you look at someone or something, you simply direct your eyes at that person or thing. It can be for a short time

👉Today we are going to work with Unit 5.C "A word of advice"

👉In the first exercise we have some vocabulary related to emotional problems. You have to read the sentences and try to guess the meaning. Remember to use your dictionary (wordreference) to check meaning and pronunciation.


👉GRAMMAR TIME! 
Read the grammar reference! and watch the video below to learn SHOULD and HAD BETTER. 




💪 We use should / shouldn’t + bare infinitive to: ➤Ask for and give advice. ➤Express an opinion ➤Make a suggestion. ➤Express mild obligation.

💪We use had better + bare infinitive to give strong advice.
➤It often express threat or warning and it’s stronger than should.
➤It refers to the present or future  (not the past)
➤Its negative form is had better not.
➤the short form is commonly used (I’d better, You’d better, etc.)
