Exercise A: Use the words in the box on your left to complete the sentences. (They are not in order)

B.Complete with suddenly, luckily and unfortunately. Check in context which is best for each sentence.

C.Be careful now! Follow the order of the pictures from left to your right and transform each part in a sentence (remember that this story is in past).

For example:

Last week / I / be / at / bank = Last week, I was at the bank. Suddenly……

1.VOCABULARY

First read the tip on your right and then try to guess the meaning of the words in bold. If you can´t guess their meaning, look them up in a dictionary.

2.READ

Read while listening to the audio file. Check for any unknown word in a dictionary. On page 73 do exercise B (the one with the pictures)

3.LISTEN

The story from Reading continues but now, only in a listening file. Listen carefully and do exercise B.

5.WRITE

Read the tips on how to write a story. Use the new adverbs (you can see how they work in the sentences below) and use Direct Speech if you want (Citas textuales).

Then using the new adverbs you have learnt complete exercise A.

3.GRAMMAR

Take a look at the verb Could, we have seen it before, in Level 2.

4.PRACTICE

 Complete the dialogue using can or could (can for present; could for past)

This is a new subject so read carefully the sentences and the theory. There is also a file attached in Classroom to explain it.

6.PRACTICE

Now that you have read about Adverbs of Manner try to do this exercise.

1.Match the pictures with the activities below, notice that all activities are form by using Go+Activity (-ing). Use the dictionary if you don´t know some of them.

2.Read the dialogue and then on Page 69 do exercise B. Exercise C is quite simple.

3.Read the Grammar part to remember how to use Verb To Be in Past Simple.

4.Complete by using was, were, wasn´t, weren´t.

5.Try to form the questions. Only do that, don´t answer them. Some are with Was, Were and others with Did.

On Page 62, read the text and scan for words you don´t know. Actually, you can make the Smoothie !!! Why not? XD

On Page 64, read both texts and complete exercise B.

On Page 65, check the Grammar Section and complete the Irregular Verbs chart with the verbs in past, obviously.

Practice is about the same topic.

Pronunciation part, you can do that if you want, it´s important to know how to pronounce the ED. Check it out.

Exercise 5, is about listening to 2 dialogues and choose the correct picture.

First, open your Student Book on Page 60 !!!

This is an important class, use everything we have seen so far. Use the theory I sent you and the vocabulary you learnt.

In page 61, only do exercise G.

Remember to do Round Up in Workbook as well.

Hi everybody! It´s time for the 4^th Class.

First, open your Student Book on Page 58 !!!

1.Try to guess the meaning of the phrases in bold. There is an audio that gives you the answer, anyway, I am going to post the answers in another file.

2.Read everything: the letter, the comment next to it and the text. Then do exercise B (True, False, Not Mentioned).

  

3.In the Listen you have 2 activities in 1. With the same audio listen one time and try to match exercise A (three people with what they want to do), then listen two times more and complete the sentences.

4.There is no need to do this exercise but take a look at the text and the ideas below.

5.Write section introduce some linking words, you know some of them. In answers file there is a short explanation.

After you read the theory part, do exercise A. Exercise B no.

·       Workbook: do exercises from Module 4E only, and send them to my mail so I can correct them.

Hi everybody! It´s time for the 3^rd Class.

First, open your Student Book on Page 54 !!!

·       Read the flyer below about an organization. After you finish reading, read one more time while listening to the audio. Listen as many times as you need.

       Look up in the dictionary every word you don´t understand.

                                                                                                                                                         

·       Like the exercise before, you have to read and listen. Scan for new words. Be careful with the words in bold (negrita), they are important for next exercise.

·       Exercise C can be solved by reading one more time the text in Exercise B. For exercise D….Like I told you before, what the words in bold mean? People? Places? Try to read several times in case you don´t find the answer.

·       Read the Grammar item about Object Personal Pronouns. There is more information about this in the Classroom.

·       In this case, to see if you understand the grammar there is an exercise about that.

·       For pronunciation, you only have to listen to the audios. Try to solve the exercises. Listen as many times as you need to see the difference.

·       Finally, make this listening activity that completes the Reading that was in the first exercise.

·       Complete the blanks with the words from the left. Look up in the dictionary for any word that you don´t know.

·        Read and listen to the audio that comes with it. Then answer the questions that are on next page.

·       In Point 3 you have a little reminder on how to use the Verb Should, it´s quite simple. However, I will add an explanation in EXTRA EXERCISES file. Then do the Practice exercises with this verb.

·       Practise this exercise using the audio files.

·        This a speaking activity that we cannot practice right now but take a look at the advices to give somebody. For ex:You should take a painkiller, you should take vitamins, you shouldn´t work hard, etc
