Encouraging /ɪnˈkʌr.ɪ.dʒɪŋ/ = making you feel more confidence or hope
There was a lot of positive feedback, which was very encouraging.

Enthusiastic /ɪnˌθjuː.ziˈæs.tɪk/ = showing enthusiasm
You don't seem very enthusiastic about the party - don't you want to go tonight?
Well, you could try to look a little more enthusiastic!
Frightening /ˈfraɪ.tən.ɪŋ/ = making you feel fear; scary, terrifying

It is frightening to think what might happen if she left him.
Knowledgeable /ˈnɒl.ɪ.dʒə.bəl/ = knowing a lot
He's very knowledgeable about German literature.
Understanding /ˌʌn.dəˈstæn.dɪŋ/ = an understanding person who has the ability to know how other people are feeling, and can forgive them if they do something wrong
He had expected her to be horrified, but she was actually very understanding.
