Welcome to another online lesson!
Let's get started, shall we?
These are the pages we'll be working on in today's lesson.
EXERCISE 1: GRAMMAR - Inversion
Compare these sentences:
1) I had never seen such a wonder.
2) Never had I seen such a wonder.
Why do you think they are different? Well, Dan, from BBC Learning English, attempts to explain the principle of inversion in only 90 seconds! (first video)
- First video: A general introduction:
- A more detailed explanation:
You can click this link with the explanations from the videos. There's an interesting exercise you can do there, too:

Now, you should be ready to start working on the first page. 🙆
EXERCISE 2: ANGLIA Exam Practice - Section R4
In Section R4 of the ANGLIA exam, you have to do ten word transformation exercises. There are ten questions plus one example. More complex vocabulary (than at level B2) will be tested at level C1.
Any transformation can be used, including prefixes and suffixes:
e.g. convenient 👉 inconvenient
easy 👉 easily
Multiple transformation may be asked for:
e.g. understand 👉 misunderstanding
EXERCISE 3: ESSAY WRITING - Types of essays
EXERCISE 4: ESSAY WRITING - Transition words

That's all for today, guys!
Never have I had so much fun teaching a lesson like this!
