HELLO,
GUYS
Welcome to a new online lesson!
Before we start, I'd like to share some news with you...
7th May - 1st English exam
Yes, the exam is coming...
so, we're going to keep studying hard!
We're gonna start with your Student's book on page 27.
The Passive
In order to make the Passive, we need two very important things:
To be + past participle
On one hand, the auxiliary To Be can be in the:
· present simple (is/are)
· past simple (was/were)
· present perfect (has/have been) or
· infinitive (be)
On the other hand, the main verb takes its past participle form.
Remember; we divide the verbs into regular and irregular.
Regular verbs take -ed at the end.
Irregular verbs have a special list.
Here you have more theory about it just in case you need it (it's on page 33). Please, send me a message if you have doubts.
Now that we refreshed this, let's go back to the book. Please, follow my instructions.
*In exercise 11, look at the Active grammar box and complete the example senteces using the article on page 26 to help you. Then match the rules (A-C) with the sentences (1-3).
*In exercise 12, complete the second sentence so it means the same as the first one.
*In exercise 13, add one missing word to each sentence. Then listen and check your answers.
