Are you ready for more English lessons? 😏

Let's get started!

1. Today we're going to work on Unit 7.3. So, open your Student's Book on page 98, I'ts never too late. What does this title imply? What do you understand by it?

First, you are going to complete a vocabulary exercise. Read the sentences in exercise 1 and check you understand the words in bold (related to EDUCATION - you can use the dictionary to help you ➡️Wordreference). Then answer the questions (and send me your answers ✉️).

2. LISTENING. Listen to a radio programme about a university. How is it different from other universities? (➡️Audio). Answer.

Listen again and answer the two sets of questions below.

3. READING. Now, you're going to read some articles about remarkable people (those on page 98 and on page 149). As you read, make notes about the following: name, current age / age at death, activity / achievement, personal philosophy / attitude to being old. (Please, send me your notes ✉️)

4. SPEAKING AND LISTENING. Now, you'll have to do 2 exercises. First, read the questions in exercise 4 and think about them. You have to answer those questions, and you'll have to send me your answers via voice notes (using Whatsapp 😉). 

Then, you have to listen to some people discussing the same questions you had to answer before, and complete exercise 5. (Click here for the ➡️audio). 

5. Now it's GRAMMAR time!!! Watch the video below in order to revise the uses of modals of ability (in past and present). 

After watching the video, check the grammar reference in the book (page 103). Now you're ready to do some practice. 

Complete exercises 6, 7, 8 and 9 (on page 99 and 100).
