Ingles Nivel 3 Grupo 1 - Villa Mercedes

Hello students.! How are you doing? These two weeks we are going to have our lessons on this web site.

We are going to start a new unit, unit 4 called "Feeling good", anwer the following questions:

What do you do to stay healthy?
Do you follow a specific diet? Mention
Do you like eating out? Where do you usually go out?
What do you do to exercise?

Now, open your books on page 50, module 4a "What's on the menu?"

1. Vocabulary, place the words in the box next to their correct group.

Let's remember; there are somo nouns that are countable and some others that are uncountable. But we can make uncountable nouns to be countable by using containers, here you have some of them:

Complete ex. B. Match and make as many combinations as possible.

Example: "a pint of beer"

"a box of cereal"

"a carton of milk"

Read and complete exercise B. Write T for true or F for false. If the answer is false tell me why and check it.

Let's go to page 51. Grammar.

Some is used with uncountable and plural countable nouns in affirmative sentences and offers.

There is some orange juice in the fridge.

Would you like some chips?

Any is used uncountable and plural countable nouns in questios and negative sentences.

Is there any orange juice in the fridge?

There aren't any chips on the table.

No (=not any) is used with uncountable nouns and plural countable nouns in affirmative sentences to give a negative meaning. This doesn't mean that the sentence is negrative in grammar, it's a positive sentence but with a negative meaning.

There is no cheese in the fridge. (An aff sentence but the meaning is negative) and it means the same as: There isn't any cheese.
