Exercise 2: Write the negative and interrogative forms of the following sentences.
Activity 2: Now, to continue the revision of this tense, we will do a reading activity. Please read the following text about Okinawan people, and choose the right title for paragraphs 1 to 4. Look for new words in the dictionary.
Activity 3: To finish our revision of this Unit, you will write a paragraph about your daily routine including information about the topics dealt with in the text you read, i.e eating habits, exercise, work or studies, social life, etc. Don´t forget to use Present Simple and then send the paragraph to my e-mail address rominagrdin@ulp.edu.ar.
Activity 4: Starting Unit 3A. Let´s read the conversation on page 36 of the SB and then answer the questions in exercise 2B.
Let´s analyse this sentence from the conversation: I´m shopping with my cousin. She´s looking for a dress at the moment.
What verb tense is it used? → PRESENT CONTINOUS!
- When do we use Present Continous? 1- for actions taking place at the moment of speaking (Hi Peter! what are you doing right now?) 2- for temporary states (I´m woring a lot these days). 3- for changing situations (more and more people are using mobile phones nowadays). 4- for future arrangements (I´m having a birthday party on saturday).
- Let´s revise the structure of positive, negative and interrogative sentences.
- Which are the time expresions used in this tense? now - right now - at this moment - today - this week/weekend/month/year
- Now let´s do some practice to check that you have understood the construction of this tense. ☝ Exercise 1: page 37 of the Student´s Book, ex. 4 ☝ Exercise 2: pages 26 and 27 of the Workbook, ex. B, C & D.
