Today, we're going to start working with the book. So, let's get started...
👉Think of the following:
1. Do you talk with your friends on the phone a lot?
2. What do you usually talk about?
👉 Go to page 6, read the dialogues and name the people in the pictures. Then, do exercise C. Here you have the audio file 👇
Audio: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ltWl5IsywSzKOj_Q-vYqLG5wu7DOaTZC/view?usp=sharing
👉 Now do exercise 2 on page 7.
Did you finish? OK. Before going on, let's revisit some topics. In order to do it, read these examples:
📍 I usually go to the gym.
📍 I'm working at the moment.
Are the examples in the same tense? Are we talking about the present, future or past? Are they different? Why?
Did I make you think too much?
😁
👉Now look at these pictures. This is what I'm talking about: Do you feel like doing an exercise? Don't worry, it's easy. You have to decide which option is the correct one.
Ready? Now, forget about the Present simple & continuous for a while. We're going to learn something else; STATIVE VERBS.
These kind of verbs refer to senses, emotions, perception and opinions, among others. They ARE NOT normally used in the Present Continuous. Look at the examples:
📌 I feel good.
📌 It's cold. I need a cup of tea.
📌 I think we should stay at home for 2 weeks.
📌 Remember to buy alcohol on your way home.
Can you name more verbs like these?
