Hi guys! 

As you all know, due to our current circumstances, we won't be seeing each other for a while, so here's your chance to keep up with your course.

EXERCISE 2: British and American English

Most of you have taken the B2 Anglia exam, so this question is about two major English varieties: British and American English. Think about the answer to the following question and share your ideas on Whatsapp, so we can all have a discussion  when we meet again.

• How important is it to be able to distinguish between these varieties in the exam? Consider these areas: writing, reading, listening and speaking.

Now, how about answering a few TASK 1 questions? Try to provide enough detail and use a wide range of vocabulary (like the expressions you studied last class) and structures.

• Would you please tell me something about yourself?
• Where do you see yourself in 5 years' time?
• What are your interests? How do you intend to develop them in the future?
