Warm-up:  a- Speaking ⇒  Today we will start the class speaking a little bit about Food. You will send me a voice message talking about your "Eating Habits" (the four meals and the food you like and dislike).

b- Grammar ⇒  Revision of "Quantifiers". To revise this grammar topic a little more, you will go to the Workbook and complete the following exercises:

👉 Page 36 - Exercise C

👉 Page 38 - Exercises B, C & D.

💬  What can you see in the picture? People AT A RESTAURANT

Activity 2Reading and Listening⇒  Ex. 2. You will read and listen to the conversation at a restaurant. Here is the link for the audio:

Please practice reading in a loud voice after having listened to the conversation. Now, complete ex. 2 B (say if the sentences are T or F). 

💬  What expressions does the waitress use to communicate with the client?

➤ Are you ready to order?
➤  What would you like to drink?
➤ And for you?
➤  Anything else? / Is that all?
➤ Would you like to see the dessert menu?

💬  What expressions does the customer use to express preferences?

                                                                          ➤ I would like / I want / I will have 
                                                                          ➤ What does (the lasagne) come with?
                                                                          ➤ Is there any (meat) in the lasagne?
                                                                          ➤ That´s all

Activity 3Writing⇒ You will write a short conversation "At a restaurant", using the vocabulary learnt about "Food" and the expressions mentioned above used by the waitres/waiter and customer in this situation.

💬  What can you see in the pictures of the flyer?  Children, right?

💬 What kind of lifestyle do these children have?  High or low standard?
💬 Suppose they are children who live in poor conditions, would you help them?  How?

(Send your answers to these questions in the same voice message you will prepare for exercise 1´s instruction)


Activity 4Reading⇒  Read the flyer about a volunteer organisation called "Get Involved"  and see how they plan to change these children´s lives! 

💬  Would you become a member of this organisation eventually? 

Let´s read the letter below the flyer written by Beth, a person who has joined this organisation.




I will take this sentence from the letter for some analysis:

" This year about 20 volunteers are going to Nepal for ten days and I´m going with them". 

💬  What is the word in bold?  a noun? an adjective? or a pronoun?  ⇒ It´s a Pronoun!  and specifically it´s called                                                                                                                 "OBJECT PRONOUN

Analyse the chart below for a clear explanation of how "Pronouns" work in a sentence (Object and Subject too).



Activity 5:  Last exercise!  To practice this new grammar topic, you will complete the following activity with the correct "Object Pronoun".
