🙋Hello again my dearest students!
Congratulations on your hard work these weeks. I know it is a bit difficult but you are doing it amazing! I'm very proud of you💓
Today we are going to work with some writing and reading.
So, let's begin.
Please, open your books on page N°67: "Writing a letter asking or giving advice"
Tell me,
- Do you read problem pages in magazines or on the internet?
- Have you ever written to a problem page to ask for advice? Would you like it?
- Do you think problem pages give good advices?
Now you are ready to read about "Nervous Ned"
When you finish reading, ask the following questions:
- What is Nervous Ned's problem?
- What does Dr Wilson advise Nervous Ned to do?
Read and complete exercise C.

I consider you are ready to write a letter asking for an advise.
So, write a letter of 80-100 words describing a problem you have and finally asking for an advise.
Here you have some tips to take into account when writing.
Let's move on to our next module on page 68, module 5D "In the news"
Answer the following questions:
- Do you know of any serious transport accidents?
- How do you usually learn about serious accidens?
Read the following text.
I know you may find it a bit difficult, so, don't rush, read carefully and look for new words and phrases in a dictionary.
When you finish reading complete exercise C. According to the text write T for TRUE, F for FALSE or NM for NOT MENTIONED.
Answers
- F the train crashed due to a flock of sheep
- F 28 were the people injured
- F They arrived in minutes
- T
- F He pulled the emergency brake as soon as he noticed the sheep
- NM

- T
Sheep is spelled and written the same in the singular and plural. Take into account the context.
Do exercise D on page N°69
Words often confused.
As you know in English some words seem similar, but their meaning is different according to the context.
Here you have some examples:
Survived: to continue to live or exist, especially after coming close to dying or being destroyed or after being in a difficult or threatening situation
